Before persuing this I encourage everyone to do their research on all aspects of seizure dogs. Remember, they are stilll dogs and are trained to respond to the needs of their handler. Please read the following links, research the organization or trainer you are seeking and get references. There are many organizations who professionally train service dogs, some are no cost to the applicant, some will help with raising funds for your service dog and others will charge you for the dog. Costs vary tremendously, this depends on the service dog training groups as well as the tasks the service dog is trained to perform. Some service dog training groups will assess and work with your personal pet for task training. Most private trainers charge for their services up front. Some MAY help you with fund raising, but you can also do fund raising on your own, within your own community.
